INK AND WATERCOLOR ILLUSTRATION WITH SYD EVANS

An analyst by day and an artist by moonlight (and weekends), Syd Evans started out painting moody, coastal storm-scapes in deep hues, drawing on memories of growing up along the east coast. More recently she has embraced her whimsical side to do ink and watercolor illustrations, resulting in her Tess the Greyhound, Little Monsters, and Balloon Animals series.
A portion of her proceeds from illustration series like Tess the Greyhound and Little Monsters support causes Syd cares a lot about, greyhound rescue and mental health resources respectively. The opportunity to work with Raendrop Art came at the perfect moment, when Syd was developing Balloon Animals. She is so excited to have these works and others featured in Raendrop Art boxes.
Why work with Raendrop Art?
I'm really excited to work with Raendrop Art because I believe wholeheartedly in breaking the stigma around mental health and all health struggles. My Little Monsters series is inspired by mental health disorders and traits. I hope that incorporating my illustrations into the Raendrop Art program makes expressing day to day struggles with mental health, especially in difficult circumstances, a little lighter and a little easier to talk about.
